The parrot charged out of a garden that I was passing, please let me know what sort. The other is what I've dubbed the 'Erick' bird because of one of the sounds it makes -- is it a Little Wattlebird? Thanks. (I'm still in Tasmania).

Looks like a Green Rosella (endemic), think the light is shadowing the head colour, and yes a Little Wattle Bird

Thanks very much, DB. Happy to learn that I've snapped a bird that I can't find at home. The photo was taken in morning shadows, and the bird wasn't hanging around to pose nicely --- the picture was brightened a lot post production, which rarely turns out well. All the best. G.
