It's been more than 20 years since I've seen a Peaceful Dove at our place on the s.e. slopes of the Mt Lofty Ranges in SA - rather surprising, really, since there are plentiful Peaceful Doves in far lower quality habitat than what we have on offer.
Lo & behold this morning a Peaceful Dove strolled across our verandah & thence to the bird bath (which Ms Woko had just replenished) for a drink. Is this a portent of Peaceful Doves to come? We can only hope.
