Penrith area birds

Here is a Eastern yellow robin and Eastern Spinebill from the Penrith area. My 1st attempt in this topic. I am trying to figure out how to link these images to a full size image to my flickr, can someone explain how it can be done if possible?
Thanks

regards Vas

THe images look pretty good Vas.

I live in the Penrith area, and I firmly believe it is a really great location for a large number of species.

Thanks :)
Thats pretty much what i did but the image is resized for the forums automatically which is fine but now is there a way to show it larger by clicking on it?

cheers mate, Good to have another local around on these forums.
There is a huge amount of species around and then there's a few more if u drive anyway within one hour around. There are all the national parks and nature reserves without running into too much traffic which is always a bonus unless you head east.

Lovely photos Vas - thanks for posting them.

Thats a beauty of the spinebill ... i find they are usually too fast for me to capture.

Vas, the furthest east I go usually is Eastern Creek, as that's where I work.

I did go to The Entrance this morning to photograph before dropping into one of our depots at 8:30.

Had some awesome photo opportunities with ravens feasting on a dead fish washed up on the beach and a juvenile Red Fox. Pest or not, the fox was very cooperative (let me closer than 5 meters towards it!) and very photogenic.

I agree, Penrith and surrounds has lots of great birds to photograph. I am just north of Penrith and live on five acres and keep myself busy just with the birds here.

One day I will take my camera out to other places in the area but so far I am still photographing birds new to my collection right at home on a regular enough basis.

@ WhistlingDuck, I find the Spinebills are best photographed when perched or if u have good light use a fast shutter speed when they are feeding in a hovering action

@ Canonguy, I would be taking the camera to work too, especially if one has to travel to different places

@Wollemi, Guseeing your not far off the Nepean River, another beauty for bird photography and there is decent access to it through public and private places.. Problem is most the time i end up Bass Fishing in my kayak and that means alot of rapids and not bringing my good camera in the kayak. Another one of my addictive hobbies but if i'm gonna go out and take Kingfisher shots id'e do it from me kayak and not run too many rapids and have a good dry bag

Here are some more shots anyway Enjoy

Eastern yellow robin again, white winged chough, pacific balck duck, golden whistler and double-barred finch

We sure do Wanda smiley I can't complain about a lack of bird species. Seems there are a few of us from around the outer west on these forums which is good because we can compare species. What birds i might have a hard time finding you might not and vice versa.
