We went to Point Cook (Vic) today, when I noticed two Pied Oystercatchers in the distance. There was some water between them and me, so I couldn't get any closer. When I looked at the photos on my computer, I noticed that one of them has a metal band on his left leg, and a red plastic band with the number 55 on the right leg. I wonder if it would be important to who ever banded them, to find out where they were seen?
The photo is not that sharp, I just was very far away from the bird.
