Pipits

Went for a walk around a dam on the Whyalla to Kimba back road on the weekend and was surprised to see quite a few Pipits. Prior to this I had only seen solitary birds. Also what looks like an immature bird. Singing Honeyeater was a nice bonus.

I like the ones you took laying on the ground. Looks like you got down and dirty so to speak. Really makes a difference in the photos.

Nice pic Rick. I still haven't seen a singing HE yet.

Wish I could take the kudos for getting down in the dirt for my passion but.......

Birds were on the top of the dam embankment so I was comfortably standing up , albiet at a steep angle  smiley

Oh Magic!  Those have to be some of the best Pipit shots I have ever seen Rick, they can be such rascals to sneak up on.  Especially love the Pipit on the brambly prickly scrubby stuff (I think that is the scientific name, laugh).  That sweet little Singing Honeyeater is not too shabby either, just gorgeous.
