Hi
This raptor was at sydney olympic park hovering virtually still over at grassy hill.
Pics not to clear (as usual) - it is the same bird in all pics, first ones under-exposed, last 2 over-exposed!

Hovering like that, I'd say it's a Nankeen Kestrel. Also, it's claws look yellowish, and it only has the single teadrop... A Brown Falcon would have a double teardrop around its eye.

Thanks for the ID - I only saw the bird from behind looking into the sun so it appeared quite dark to the naked eye. From the pics I eventually thought it might be a Kestral - thanks for confirming that.
