I've been hearing some very raucous birds in my neighbourhood just recently. Until today I haven't been able to grab a pic for identification but my pic is of the bird in flight. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is a Collared Sparrowhawk and, if not, what is it?

Hi Corrine - thats a Channel-billed Cuckoo. They are VERY noisy at this time of year whilst they are searching for mates.

So, what state are you in? I'm always curious what region any birds shown on this forum are in, in case I can go looking for them too.
