On a recent walk I was standing in amongst a small group of native pines taking a couple of shots of a Wood Swallow perched in a dead tree.
All of a sudden the tree was invaded by other birds.
Quickly came a few of Babblers then a Wagtail and Honeyeater. They stayed for some time chasing each other about the tree, squabbling, then all left about the same time.
On further walks over the next few days I didn't see another bird in the tree.
Hi Rick, beautiful shots of some lovely birds. Great perch so maybe you will be lucky again. Sue
Thanks Sue, will be back over that way next week for a couple of days so will have a look.
Lovely photos!! You've captured the blueness on the woodswallow's beak stunningly!
Great job
Quality photographs as usual Rick. The invasion you decribed was probably the bird in the second photograph, I think it's called a Chestnut-crowned Babbler.
I see them at home from time to time and they are quite often in groups of up to ten. I have heard of them being referred to as Happy Jacks.

Great work again Rick ... thanks for sharing
The images are beautiful Rick, especially the clarity and colours of the wood swallow. Great work.
