l think my photos are improving ever so slightly , these are all taken after crawling/frogwalking/crabbing/sliding through scrub/burrs to get close enough.
the things we do...lol
the first 2 photos are the 'eastern' family of red backed wrens near the shack , photos 3&4 are of the 'western' family 50metres away.
l really like these little birds , difficult to photograph tho!
Barney.
Hey Barney, nice shots indeed. Striking red and orange on these little Wrens. Love the striking red on the Western Red Backed Wren.
Great job.
Cheers.

Shooting Birds with a Canon.
Hi Kevinj,
how do i reduce the noise?
the photos are always cropped a lot as lm taking pics with a 145mm lens.
cheers,
Barney.
I thought I had commented on these photos Barney. I certainly looked at them a few times. Now, here is that dreaded word “noise” again.
I think you are doing a fantastic job using a lens that short. ( I have seen many crappy shots over the years, taken with enormous long lenses, so well done you)
To get a good result like these photos you must indeed have been close?
I like your work, they also have what I like in a photo, they express the character of the birds and give me a good impression of the environment they live in.
