Since yesterday there are many Red-browed Firetails in my garden. So I took a bit of time out this afternoon to take photos of them. Here is one of them after a bath.

ML as usual your photos are just stunning, wish I could get that close. I did have a close encounter with a red tailed black cockatoo in Townsville it was so close that I could not get it all in the frame! I had a great time photographing the the kites. Also got a great shot of an osprey with his catch of the day.

If you would rotate it and only display the tail feathers, it would look like a fan, or the kind of feathers Red Indians would wear on their head when dancing. (don't get me wrong, I would not condone putting bird feathers on you head or hat
