An overnight trip to Wachells lagoon (really a backwater of the Murray) this weekend resulted in a great couple of hours of photos and watching. Here is a small selection of the many birds sighted.

Choice of dimensions of the swallows and ibis images really give them impact ... I'm going to try that too!
Really good set there Rick ... and well done with the restless FC . I just adore how the swallows fluff up all in a row like that, I have some shots of white breasted wood swallows doing the same thing at dusk...dozens of them ..... such a cute species ...when they sit still!!!
