Western Grey Kangaroo numbers are increasing again at my place following the murder of about eighteen of them some years ago. I saw six last Sunday. Here are three of the younger members of the mob:

Murder some years ago? What happened?
Oops! I should have written presumed murdered.
One night a series of gun shots rang out across the valley & the up to 18-strong mob of kangaroos which had been seen from time to time were no longer seen, including three whose curiosity caused them sometimes to approach to within a metre of me as I sat on a rock or the edge of our patio. My neighbour had several times complained that the kangaroos were on his property but whether he fired the shots I don't know although the shots seemed to come from his property.
It's taken about eight years for numbers to increase again & for the kangaroos to be seen regularly. As yet they don't hang around the house or drink from the bird baths as they once did. Maybe next summer.
