Great photos, I only have Golden Whistlers in my garden, they have just started to be more active. Do the Rufous Whistlers make the same sounds as the GW? Or is it different?
I'm not really sure M-L. I don't think it was as strong as the GW call, which I identify as like a "lite" version of the Eastern Whipbird call. I think it was just more of a series of clear whistles.
Nice catch there timmo, no they do not sound like the Golden Whistler M-L , just not as defined as the GW . it is always lovely to see and hear whistlers
