thanks Steve

Little Shrike-thrush, black-billed form (Slater guide) was my #2

Do you believe that the bird in post #2 is also Little Shrike-thrush?

Yes, I think post #2 is also a Little Shrike-thrush. Tail too short for Sandstone Shrike-thrush, among other reasons. I guess wrong habitat too?
For Sandstone Shrike-thrush habitat - S&D says - 'Sandstone cliffs. Occurs almost entirely on ground.' & Pizzey says 'sandstone escarpment/gorges.'
What made you think they might be Sandstone Shrike-thrush, is there any nearby Sandstone cliffs or gorges?

G.F. HILL described these birds as extremely shy and difficult to approach,  as they fly  and hop from rock to rock, exposing themselves only for an instant before concealing themselves in a crevices or under over hanging ledges. Seldom do they perch on bushes or trees . sorry Peter may be not a S.S.Thrush
