I need help to identify all these shore birds . . . . . lol
I just wanted to post as even with photos its so hard to get them all!
On a serious note, I can see the Caspian Tern (Red Bill) are the others Gull-billed terns?
Is the one flying a Gull billed Tern also?
Just out of curiosity when trying to photograph a large flock of birds such as this, what are the best camera settings?
How do you manage to get all the birds in focus? I did up the aperature a bit but still out of focus.
What focus point & metering modes should you have it on?
One or two birds I'm ok as long as they are close, after that its blursville lol.
Cheers
Devster
Hi Devster,
I can't help with you camera settings, I only have P&S camara & don't do much photography.
I assume you already know you mostly have Bar-tailed Godwits, with a few other species mixed in, e.g looks like a small bunch Great Knots? & Sharpies in the 3rd photo just below & left of centre.
Yes, you have Caspain & Gull-billed Terns in the 2nd photo.
The last photo is a Little Tern.
Cheers, Steve
Thanks Steve that helps alot
