Sorry for the bad photo. This bird was in southern Victoria Croajingolong National Park in April. It was in the company of 2 Hooded Plovers & a few Red-capped Plovers and a similar size with a similar white wing bar to the Red-Capped. Its colour & markings don't seem to be right for a juv Red-capped Plover. Please help I'm hopeless with Shorebirds.

It's definitely a Double-banded Plover, but I don't know if juvenile or non-breeding adult.
The very buff coloured face markings made me think of a juvenile. Doesn’t quite match the illustrations in the books I have but similar to some other photos I’ve googled.
