Southern Emu-Wren

Finally saw my first Southern Emu-Wren after spending the morning with an Ulladulla/Milton birding group. Thanks to their great spotting, I have a picture from Little Forest plateau.

Home tomorrow... will be hard to wind down after 3 months away. Sue

Great shot, Sue. They sure have a long tail, will have to go down there soon and (hopefully) get one to tick of my list.

Thanks for the comments. It made my day and was apparently a new sighting for that group although they were known to be there. I only managed 2 shots and one was blurred. It was a lovely little bird and the call was similar to a fairy wren but higher pitched.

Now home so will have to get out looking for new arrivals around Sydney.
