I didn't see any chicks Elsie, the nest was in the middle of the lake. But I haven't seen any this season yet.
Dennis, I'm with you on the "people bird brain", sad fact is they all must have nests somewhere, they multiply and then migrate to sit in offices in capital cities all over the world.
Beautifully clear shot Araminta. Wish I could give you some of ours as they've become a bit of a pest with 18 or so hanging around. Among other things they've developed a taste for the sweet corn in my garden!
They seem to be very smart birds .... wouldn't miss the chance to take the apple. Great pictures .. I always like their big feet.
