Went for a walk on the other side of the Derwent to my house today. Very rewarding.
Saw a Striated Fieldwren for the first time, didn't get good photos though:
Will try to work on some better shots of them... Also saw a pair of WBSE's perched on the other side of a bay... Again, crappy photos only:
A lone seal swam past at that point. He waved hello:
There was also a Black-faced Shag swimming around and then flying off:
Hope the pics show up ok. I also saw Beautiful Firetails, a Brown Goshawk, and lots of Superb Fairywrens, Eastern Spinebills, Black-headed Honeyeaters, New Holland Honeyeaters, Yellow-throated Honeyeaters, some Dusky and Scarlet Robins and Spotted Pardalotes. It's a great spot!
Thanks for looking,
Cheers,
Scott.
thanks for the pics
Peter
Love seeing their habitats, Scott. Very attractive country.
