Overheard some excited Superb Fairywren-twittering from outside my window this morning, and discovered that the wrens were playing around in the spray from the sprinkler in my garden. These were taken through my (mostly clean) window.

Nice one, if it were through my windows, you would be lucky to see the birds! No.1 looks as if she is the lookout, while No. 5 is making sure the "pits" are clean.

Partly good timing - only washed them a couple of weeks ago.
They were hopping down from the fence top onto the stem of that Bush, wiggling about in the shower of water, and the flying off into the main part of the plant. Must have been like their very own water park. :)
great shots .... will they expect the water park to be open every morning now?
If so, they're in for a rude surprise.
Maybe every other day - but the bird bath is open 24/7.
Surely the water park should operate for the convenience of the customers only?
