I wasn't after this species at all, instead I was hoping to catch my local pair of kestrels copulating, which I also did.
I saw this male perched on this spiny bush and carefully (and quickly) approached to shoot a few frames. Turned out nicely for a change. Most often they don't seem to cooperate, even if one uses call playback, which I did not this time.
as you know, my favourite bird, the one I know and can read the best. LOL, have to say, good one Akos.
