These tanagers were taken just a couple of days ago in Packery Channel Park here in Corpus Christi, Texas, USA. The black and red one is scarlet tanager and the red one is a summer tanager. Corpus Christi is in southeast Texas.

My girlfriend and I just got into birding last year. So far our best month has been this month (April) due to all of the migratory birds coming through. All of our friends and family freak out on the birds we find in our backyard and some have a hard time believing us.
