A couple of Tawny frogmouths decided to park themselves in our Jacaranda Tree for the afternoon, very well camouflaged, unusual to spot them during the daytime. Pretty imposing creatures when they give you the death stare..

I always thought they were owls but only found out recently that they are actually Nightjars! (Never too old to learn!)

I only noticed one to begin with in your first photo, then spotted the other. Certainly very well camouflaged both in colour and their still pose.
