Terns

Hey guys, having trouble identifying these terns that were taken on the weekend at Noosa QLD.

The look like White-Winged Black Terns coming into breeding plumage but I'm not sure.

The second is the same group of Terns but I tried to make them clearer.

Appreciate any help.

Cheers

They're the same as the ones that I decided were White-Winged Black Terns coming into breeding plumage that I saw yesterday just outside of Darwin.  A new tick for me so I was happy. There was a number of whiskered terns mixed in with what I saw and I think a few in your photo might be too. Will leave that to the experts though.

At last someone replied!!

Thanks robm, a new tick for me also.

I know the photos were bad but I thought that some may have confirmed what I thought.

Thanks again.

I'll 2nd White-winged Black Terns for the majority of them, with a few Common Terns. I don't think any Whiskered Terns present.
