One of my favourite LBB's, I often hear & glimpse the Brown Thornbills out and about, sometimes some Tas Thornbills - although the Tas seem to be scarce at the moment, perhaps still raising young deep in the bush?
Absolutely rapt to finally stumble across Tassies third Thornbill species yesterday, and a first time sighting for me, the Yellow-rumped Thornbill. Beautiful chatty little things too, a little bit more shy than the Browns & Tas (imo) and tended to stay in the upper dense foliage, unlike the other two who seem to venture down much more. So, thought I'd post a pic of each of the three, the Brown & Tas pics were taken a little earlier this week. All taken North-West Tas. Hope you enjoy!

Lovely shots Annie, great composition & camera settings because the focus, exposure & DOF are very good.
Cheers
Lovely pictures of beautiful little birds
You do realise that you're going to see them all the time now? That's what happens when you finally see a new bird...
Also, another name for these birds is "butter-bums".

Hehe.. such adorable little birds. Only ever seen a few yellow rumped ones myself
Beautiful, beatiful, beautiful, Annie. The little cuties look so healthy and happy . It is such a buzz to get a new find but I have to agree with Brandon you will be seeing more ''butter-bums'' now that you have seen them once they will be popping up all over the place. Little birds like these are just so interesting and so enjoyable to watch aren't they? . Always loving your photos Annie they are so clear and percise.
