I just spent three days in Gatton, Qld (I'm from Melbourne) visiting my brand new baby granddaughter. Glad the borders opened up in time! While I was there, I managed to find time to visit a few of the small lakes in the area. I wasn't disappointed.

Congratulations on you new grandaughter, and some nice photos as a bonus. Love the Cistacola, and you can never get enough eagles of any description Both the Cisticola and Lorikeet would be new to me, we don't have them in Tassie.

Nice Tom. You can normally get quite a few birds out Gatton way that we don't get a lot of even in Bris. Birds like Pink-earded Ducks, Shovelers and Red-rumped parrots to name a few. Oh and grats on the new grandaughter. So good you were able to visit
Nice set of birds, Tom and congrats on the new granddaughter. Love the Scaly-breasted Lorikeet and the Egrets in breeding plumage.
