Great photos shorty! Poor crested pigeon
It's a very dark hobby, where we are they're a bit lighter
Well done
Wow love the shot of the Hobby with the pigeon...outstanding as always !
Kerry - Perth, Western Australia.
Beautiful shots Shorty. One of these days I must make my way to Canberra. Love the Hobby shots and the first Falcon shot in particular. :)
Those photos are just amazing!!!! How come there that many BOP around Canberra? We don't get that many around here
Outstanding as always!
(did you take photos of all of them? I want to see Peter's

Elsie...... Thank you. Peter was lucky that he was back today and also commented on how dark it was. Peter thinks it is a Female that is darker than the male but i have been reading up on it and it may be a juvenile (the jury is still out).
Maybe you have only seen adult males?
Shoop........Thank you, i am glad you have enjoyed them.
Windshear......Thanks, if you do come to Canberra make sure you contact me and i will show you the good spots.
M-L........Thanks, i am just glad i have raptors as it's too hard to keep up with your shots of the little one's
Where the wetlands are there is a large corridor heading south a long way with a perminent large creek so there is plenty of food for all the raptors.
Total raptors for the day.

I only see the hobbys every now and then The raptors that I can be guaranteed to see everyday are black kites. Up here we have been seeing them in flocks of up to 200! At our local green waste tip there are so many that it's almost unbelievable! I have some photos but they aren't top quality because I was in the car as we drove past
once again, great photos!
a busy Canberra weekend, here's the A Hobby at 9.20 this morning, I asked it to go catch a pigeon but it said it just wanted to model today
Peter
Beautiful Peter!!
I went hunting a Nankeen Kestrel sighting today and found myself a pair of Black shoukdered Kites. No NK but a good day. :)
Wonderful to see these pics. Well done.
