I love the first pic, I haven't seen a thornbill with such a large prey item before.

I love the tiny Thornbill, such soft and gorgeous colours. Great photos, thanks Markheart

I also love the Tootgarook Wetlands, Alison and I are friends of the Tootgarook Wetlands. There is a whole group of dedicated people fighting very hard to keep the developers at bay and preserve the area.

The shot of the Thornbill is one of my favs, I watched them grabing Damselflies in flight for ages but had to give up on a photo there just to fast, I had to sacrifice DOF for bit more shutter speed but I'm happy with the end result.

Yes I signed the petition and told every one I know if they didn't sign it I would make there life a misery.

It's important for me, too, to get on board campaigns such as the Tootgarook Wetlands campaign. The internet makes long-distance involvement, albeit at a low level, possible. It'll be interesting to see if the Save the Sharks campaign produces a reversal of the hideous WA government approach to marine conservation.
