Topknot pigeon seen at Royal National Park NSW - first time i have seen one.
Wow WD
Cracking shot and yet another bird I didnt even know existed
Dont take life too seriously, it never ends well
I had thought the Top Knot Pigeon was the same as a Crested Pigeon, and how wrong i was! Lovely photo.

Great shot WD. Beautiful detail. Have never seen one of these.
Fantastic shot. I have only been able to photograph these from long distance.
Beautiful shot WD. I have never been able to get this close to them. Such excellent detail. They are a funny looking bird.
Great catch, i get flocks of them flying over my house in winter, but they rarely land.
when they do, they land in the highest tree tops for a rest, then continue their journey.
Beautiful shot.
Thanks all for the comments - there were 5 or 6 in a large fig tree in a grassed picnic area so i was able to move around and eventually get a unobscured shot of one on a lower branch.
Great shot! I have only seen them at Atherton where they conveniently landed on palms to feast on the fruit.
