Hi everyone
Firstly, thank you to those who have assisted me on this forum in identifications - the list of birds we have visit us has now grown to 60 that have been ID'd. Wow and we thought maybe around 25 would be it. Amazing results.
Anyway, I really have no idea what this bird is, so need your collective help again.
These photos have all been taken through the flymesh screen with the normal lense which only goes to 42mm, so they are grainy and not the best.
By the behaviour, it could be a treecreeper:
First seen drinking from a ground level water container, it then flew into the bole of the yellow jackarandah tree outside the study window, where it spent some five minutes poking around in the litter and bark. It then proceeded up into the branches of the tree by a series of hops and short spiralling flights.
In colour, it was creamy white underneath, with darker back and head but nothing really distinguishing. Some of the photos I have show a possibly rufous head but I can't recall noticing this at the time.
Anyway, that's about all I can say.
Any help appreciated.
Cheers
Chris

Yes, I would say a Grey Shrike-Thrush too. Couldn't tell in the first shots but the latter two it's quite clear.

Thanks folks, I never even thought to look at a Shrike Thrush as a possibility. I got sidetracked by the antics.
Another one for the list.
Yay
