Spent some time at Gold Coast Botanic Gardens today working on my birds-in-flight shots. Mixed results. But I did take a shot of a duck in flight with no head and a moorhen with two heads. I guess I broke even.

Mixed results is usually the way with birds in flight shots - at least for me anyway.
You got nice detail in the extended wings and tails on your landing duck - and display of the blue green speculum.
