Today not long after sunrise I was woken by some rather noisy birds in the tree outside of my bedroom, never hearing these sounds before I hopped out of bed and on further inspection realised they were Noisy Friarbirds! I have seen countless little fiarbirds before but none of these.. Guess I can't be too mad at them for waking me up, even if my sleep filled eyed didn't get a great shot, it's a shot none the less..
The second bird a straw-necked Ibis, I thought after 26yrs I would have seen up close but up until today has only been a squint worthy sighting. Today while taking my kids to the park there they were, three of them shining in the sun right in front of us.
And what wonderful birds they are, Cassie.
I don't think I've seen a Noisy Friarbird yet, we do have lots of the straw neck ibis around the place - can never get very close to them unfortunately.
I have a few indistinct photos of them, nothing like your great photos.
