i photographed this small bird, it was sitting on a wire fence and everytime i tried to get close it would keep flying further away across a stubble paddock, i could only get to within about 100 metres of it, it was photographed near Parrakie, S.A, i have only ever seen one other about 2 years ago near Lameroo, S.A, any help with an ID would be greatly appreciated, sorry for the quality of the photo as it would not let me get close to it.
Thanks Matthew
Just a guess, White Fronted Chat? Also guseeing male, by distinct colouring. As always happy to be wrong!

I agree with Dale. This species disappeared from our location as our revegetation matured because it prefers open areas often near water e.g. around Lakes Alexandrina & Albert in SA.
Many thanks for the help with the ID
