WERRIBEE WADER 3

trying to sort Sharp-tails, Pectorals and Long-toed Stints.

I'm not good on waders but I'll give it a go. I thougt Red-necked Stint actually as Long-toed Stint's have yellowish legs, Sharpie's have rufous in the cap and Pectoral's have a yellowish base to the bill. I'm going by this site: http://awsassets.wwf.org.au/downloads/sp133_australian_shorebirds_identification_sheet_20nov07.pdf

Wait for others to disagree (or confirm if I'm lucky)!

Agree with Red-necked Stints.

The black legs help rule out Sharpie, Pec & Long-toed.

Well so far we all agree.......I wasn't really sure about this one. Hoped it might be something else, but knew it was different from the others in the pond. As soon as you identied it I agreed, it was a good fit........guess I just wanted it be be something else.
