So many of these beauties in my backyard at the moment , been trying to get them in flight ( all most impossible ) but not giving up . Managed to get some mating as well. I have been using my 70-300mm lens, but need to invest in a macro. Enjoy !

Great shots, Shoop. I think i need to give the birds a little rest and start shooting other things as well![enlightened enlightened](https://www.birdsinbackyards.net/sites/all/libraries/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/lightbulb.gif)

Brilliant shots indeed! I just can't sneak close enough to any shoop
, I'll keep practising though. We really don't have a huge number of anything buggy flitting about yet anyway with our weather - give them a few weeks though, there should be more!
