saw this bird on the way to Normanton, Queensland on the side of the road, we thought he would fly off when we pulled up but he just sat on the kangaroo looked at me and stayed put like he was saying im not sharing with you.

Wow Kerry, that is one great photoyes That was one big opportunity, when they have some prey they are not abandon easily.

One of the reasons why I stop the car (only when safe to do so), and remove road kill. Many BOP get killed sitting and eating dead animals.

he was off the road so he and his dinner where safe he was very protective of his food .

yes he wouldnt have a chance if a big road train came along.

it was wonderful watching him, he was the only we got close to on our trip.

thanks for that, majestic birds,  i didnt want to get any closer just in case he flew away , but he wasnt going anywhere he was too interested in eating his food
