What bird?

Hi. My first post in Back yard birds. Just wondering what this bird is or was before something went wrong. It appears to have feather loss and disfigured beak.

Wow, that was fast. Thanks for that info. I have never seen one before. We only see him in the back yard every now and then.

No worries. I wish I got Friarbirds in my backyard! Too high elevation for them here only see them very occasionally in summer.

smileyThat's a shame. I read a little about them and discovered that that there's nothing wrong with him at all. He seemed a little odd with that bald head and lumpy beak.

Not much to look at but full of personality.

I particularly love the cackle sound they make.
