I was lucky enough to find some whistling kites building a nest, so I sat in my car and tried to get some photos of them bringing the sticks in. There was horrible grey cloud all over the place, but when it burned off, they were gone! They use their beaks and feet to carry the sticks. In the nest photo they are both there

What a beautiful set Kim...... and I can imagine how excited you were feeling just to be able to observe, let alone capture it. They are all lovely and you are making me envious again that I don't have that kind of magnifcation or the quality lol . I am not seeing any birds lately but it is a pleasure to share your experience.
