White Faced Honeyeater

These not brilliant photos were taken in Rockhampton a month ago whilst on our way home to South Australia - I think they are of a juvenile White Faced Honey Eater? As I have never sighted this type before I would appreciate confirmation, and or advice, on ID please.  Many thanks,

Mike

I agree with SteveM, a little Friarbirdsmiley

I like that last shot!

I am surprised by the ID! My books make no allowance for the white around the eye? I also think the beak is different?

I agree with Little Friarbird, adult bird; the whte face that you see is a reflection form the bare skin face and the apparent beak shape is caused by the brd's stance relative to the camera; I will attach pics form Redcliffe, Qld in 1/11

Many thanks - I am convinced!! I think tghe "book write ups" weren't very enlightening for me.

Thank you everyone for setting me straight!
