awesome shots laza ... that first photo is a beauty , seems you were able to get quite close. I see them reasonably often in flight but very rarely perched and never close up. I really like that last flight shot as well - i would have been tempted to crop that across the middle closer around the bird, but really works much better the way you have done it keeping all that background in.

The last shot is actually the first encounter as he was sitting among that red ground cover.
We both surprised each other so I couldn't get what would have been a much prized ground shot.
Fortunately it went to a nearby perch and I worked my way around to get the sun at my back
Like WD I never gotten so close to a S-Eagle perched. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a couple of minutes from about 25 metres away. Though I missed a take off photo as he wheeled away from me behind tree cover
