Can anyone ID this little bird. I live in the Perth suburbs.
It comes on my birdbath in the company of other littlies: Brown HEs, New Holland HEs, Silvereyes.
I'm of the opinion it may be a young White naped HE, only because (on rare occasions) I've seen them on the bird bath previously. But having said that, it looks nothing like a WNHE really, but then it looks nothing like anything else either ! I've looked thru all my books & they show an immature WNHE looking very like the adult. I've googled it and again all immmatures pictured look similar to the adult.
It has an almost black head & similar dark dots on its cheeks.
Hope you can help
Pauline
Maybe Juvenile Brown-headed.
Could be a leucistic white-naped honeyeater.
