Hello birders!
We have a bird in residence in the tree (a rather large privet) over the road who likes to start singing at around midnight each night for around half an hour. Initially, I thought it was a koel, but the song is not the koel's distinctive Boo-wip!
We live in Sydney in the inner west and we have been hearing this bird for several weeks.
I have made a sound recording of the bird's call, but I'm not sure how to attach an m4a file type.
Is anyone able to provide assistance? It would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Marianne
You need to upload it to another site and post the link here. Youtube is one place you can upload to.

I think that's a willie wagtail.
I'll 2nd Willie Wagtail.
Thanks very much!
They love to sing at night when the moon is very bright. I had one outside my bedroom window when I was living in Brisbane. Drove me crazy!
