That is a great shot Sparrow..... are they Casuarinas they are on ? or Sheoaks? If they came into my garden I wouldn't care as long as they let me get a few close ups
I'm not sure about the trees they grow along the edge of the lakes around here ,and as for the fruit trees next time they prune one to the trunk I'll post some photos and you'll see what I mean ,the Lorrekeets eat all the fruit and the YTB eat the rest of the tree.
The only trees they don't demolish are the nectarines they don't seem to like them which is ok there my favorate but it would still be nice if they left me some pears.
I suspect you're right there Woko, as they are the most common of the Casuarina/Allocasuarina family along the east coast (hence littoralis = coastal), though I'm pretty sure there is not enough in the photo to identify them conclusively.
Birdie, as far as I am aware, the term she-oak is used interchangeably for most (if not all) Casuarina and Allocasuarina species.
Thanks timmo..... I put both names there as I thought they were one and the same butpeople call them different thing. Pale headed Rosellas love them too up here

I feel your pain, we have our orchard fully netted for this reason, we'd have nothing otherwise
They were trearing apart some grey gums over the back not to long ago and I "snuck" over to have a look
Beautiful photo Mark

Great photo - nice companion shot to your pair of long billed corellas
I confident the tree is Black She-oak Allocasuarina littoralis.
