Hi all,
I've been checking this forum from time to time over the past few years, first post.
I was down at French Island today in Western Port Bay. I saw a honeyeater in the carpark at Tankerton and checking options in books I'm thinking that it may have been a yellow throated honeyeater.
I see this bird is meant to be endemic to Tassie and the Bass Strait Islands. Any chance this is what I saw? Sorry no photo, was getting my gear ready for a trail run.
Regards,
Simon
Always possible to have a vagrant, blown off course. Unlikely but not impossible.
