baby ducks already

Pacific Black baby ducklings at Bibra Lake West Australia , a tad early don't you think.? It's still winter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautifulyes They aren't that small anymore either? It is a LOT warmer over where you live though.

I'm glad, most birds around here haven't started breeding yet. Although one lone pair of Eastern Spinebills has. She is collecting food now, can't see where she takes it , doesn't matter.

Last night it was very cold and we had a lot of rain and some strong winds. The wrens are smarter this season, some might remember that they lost two broods . They might have learned a lesson?

Lovely shots shoop smiley We don't have any babys here yet but almost all the birds  that I have seen today have been gathering nesting material! I know where some striated Pardalotes are nesting and the wood ducks have been laying too.

Again, well done!
