Got this bird bath a couple of weeks ago from my local op shop and it is becoming a big hit in my garden with the birds. Here are some of the varieties so far willing to try it out , I wonder how many other different varieties I can capture using it.
1. Magpie Lark
2. Grey Butcherbird
3. Little Wattlebird
That's great, shoop!
Just curious as to why the little bowl inside it?
Looks like you're providing a great service to the birds, and I'm sure as more discover it, you'll get lots of visitors.
As I explained I think this terracotta bowl was intended for dip and crackers ( not a bird bath) the smaller bowl is actually attached to the larger bowl so it is a all-in-one piece. When I saw it , i thought that would be ideal for my canaries but they still perferred their small white curved dish so I put it out in the garden and now its a big hit !!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, I see. :) didn't see that thread. As you say, seems to be popular. :)
nice 're-purposing" of the bowl
Great shots
Very cool idea for recycling the bowl .... saves having to put up a sign with "No swimming or diving"
Great shots, I love to watch any birds in a bird bath ...even the noisy miners . I have a Currawong that loves my terracotta one and spills the water every where. He will miss it when I move away in a few weeks . The other bath seems to be just the doves and noisies
