I have only just identified the very distinctive call that I hear as a Koel.  But I haven't been able to see it.

Must be a  juvenile. I saw it a few times the other days and it was fed by magpies.

Really? I have am only aware of Noisy Friarbirds, Red Wattlebirds, and Magpie-larks being hosts of Koels, depending on reigion. This could be quite significant

Sorry,it is red wattlebird feed the koel. There are blue faced honeyeater stand beside but not feeding.

Figbirds are also common hosts, and I've seen young Koels in Little Wattlebird nests too, but yes you're right, a Magpie host would be very unusual.
