Nice find - a bird with a lot of character.
Looks very grey on the breast but i suspect thats because its perched right in the shadow of the tree trunk !
Yes you're right, it does look very grey, it may also be a juvenile who have 'buff' coloured breast according to the bird finder?

Probably an adult - as the juveniles are brown/fawn on top rather than black/grey
Agree with WD about being an adult. Made me look a couple of times though to see if it was really grey or just a shadow.
