Thanks for the comments - the photo was taken at the school where I work. The magpie is a regular visitor, and is quite tame. The day this was taken was one of the first really hot days this year, and I watched him under the tap for a while before getting the camera. He was actually waiting for each drop and opening his beak just at the right moment. Quite smart really! There is a new "chick" that comes in the mornings now - calling to be fed, but it hasn't learned the water droplet trick yet.
