I recently spent a week in Cowra with my daughter, who has disabilities. We went to the Japanese Gardens a couple of times because a) they are so beauitful, b) the ducks had me entranced, c) the gardens hire out golf carts to people who need them and it meant I could spend a lot time with my daughter just enjoying the gardens.
Thats a lot of Ducklings.
Don't be surprised if that Wood duck starts drinking. lol
There is something therapudic about watching birds, I get the same with fish also.
Glad you had a lovely day with your daughter.
Thanks for sharing.

Love ducks!
That is a lot of ducklings - seems too many for one family. They done a great job to raise so many to that size
Great idea to have golf carts available for those with mobility issues to get around in. Fantastic way to enjoy the gardens together.
I think that's first duckling photos of the year to you Wollemi? They sound like beautiful gardens; wonderful that you and your daughter had a great time.
Interesting that there's so many ducklets, I've got a flock of 21 of them floating around the place (with 2 parents).
There were about 27 ducklings in one group with one set of parents there was another group with ducklings at two stage of development and one set of adult birds, and then there were some adolescent ducks who were just hanging out at the mall!
The Japanese Gardens at Cowra are well worth a visit and yes the golf carts were a god send and so was the audi tool you can hire for $2 that you punch in codes at different points around the garden and it tells you what you are looking at and the significance of it in this particular garden. A very accessible garden for people with mobility disabilities and visual disabilities, the descriptions are great.
There were lots of other birds too but the ducks just had my attention!
